The Portland Area Sailplane Society (PASS) is a chartered club of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). Our members fly all glider classes including multi-task thermal, slope soaring, cross country, thermal duration and hand launch. We also fly electric, aerobatics, scale and fun-flying.

We are one of the most active R/C sailplane clubs in the United States. With over 200 years of combined experience among our members.

Come Fly with Us...

Each year, we hold several sanctioned events and welcome all AMA members. Our members enjoy the use of our thermal flying site in St. Paul, Oregon, and several slope sites that are within a 2-hour drive of Portland. We always welcome new members.

Meetings

Join us for our regular monthly meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm (view the calendar for location).

If you want to learn to fly, this is the place to meet people who would love to show you how.

Events

One of the best ways to learn to fly is to attend contests. Many of our pilots have flown over 30 years.
